Station Tours & Ride Along

Station Tours

Welcome to your neighborhood firehouse! The Russellville Fire Department and its four Fire Stations are open for free tours. Meet the firefighters and check out the fire engines, equipment and see the living area where the firefighters stay when not responding to calls.

Tours are recommended for children 3 years of age and older, and groups of 20 or less. Please schedule your visit at least 10 days in advance to allow time to notify the crew on duty the day of your visit. A single family visiting a fire station does not need to schedule a tour, however consideration should be given to not go around meal times.

To schedule a tour please call 479-968-2332.

Ride-Along Program

Would you like to experience the life of a Russellville firefighter? The Russellville Fire Department offers a Ride-Along Program that will allow you to do just that. The purpose of the Ride-Along Program is to open the doors of opportunity to both future potential firefighters as well as the community. It gives an insight into life as a firefighter by enhancing the knowledge and understanding of citizens while simultaneously fostering community involvement. Those who participate can expect to gain familiarity with the duties and responsibilities of the Russellville Fire Department personnel.

If you are interested in this program, please read the general rules (PDF) for the program. Complete the application form and the release form (PDF). Mail them and a confirmation email will be sent to you shortly.  (The Release form must be signed then mailed or dropped off at the Central Fire Station before a ride along can be scheduled)

We will send you an email to notify you if you have been cleared to schedule a ride-along. Please ensure you are checking your emails periodically, including your spam folder, so as not to miss this important email.
